What is contrast?
What is the difference between real contrast and dynamic contrast?
Black-led contrast in led screens, is it better?
When you get a quotation for an LED display and see “contrast” in the detailed parameter list, what is the contrast? What does it have to do with the LED display? Let’s find out!
1. What is contrast?
The contrast ratio refers to the maximum difference between the brightness intensity in the white and black ranges.
The contrast ratio is expressed as an X:1 ratio, an LED display that provides the absolute difference between the brightest white and the darkest black.
The stronger the mid-tones are produced, the higher the contrast ratio, which provides better picture smoothness and richer color.
2. What is the difference between real contrast and dynamic contrast?
True contrast measures the difference between instantaneous black and white pixels, usually a small number (800:1, 1000:1, 1600:1, …).
If your screen is mainly used for still pictures, such as photo editing, graphic design, etc., you need to know these important numbers; for example, modern computer LCD monitors are usually 1000:1, and TVs may exceed 4000:1.LED displays can play video, text, pictures, and especially video.
Dynamic contrast is a convenient metric used by manufacturers to measure how much pixel changes from black to white (or gray) over some time; it helps predict the quality of contrast moving images.
3. Black-led contrast in led screens, is it better?
Contrast determines the clarity of the image.
There are black LED and white LED panels in the LED display. The main differences between them are:
Black LEDs have a contrast ratio of 10000:1, and white LEDs have a contrast ratio of 3000:1.
A completely black LED display is better than a completely white LED display in a completely black state.
Black LEDs offer stability, high contrast, low brightness, and softer colors.
Black LEDs consume less power, while white LEDs are more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
Therefore, a black light display will display better than a white light display.
